Summerveld riding update 28/08/2020

Dear EMBA Riders

SUMMERVELD RIDING.

We have just finished sorting out riding at Summerveld, and it is not so drastic!

If you access Summerveld via JB MacIntosh, along the tar from the main road, once you pass through the 2 white pillars, the first road to the left is an absolute no go area and signs will be erected there.  You must remain on the tar, past the Jockey’s restaurant and past the Dog training field.  DO NOT use any of the small foot paths in the fields past the Jockey’s Restaurant leading towards the race track.  You need stay on this tar until it comes to the cul de sac where you can rejoin the off-road trail, apparently named by some as Market View. 

About 50m before the two white entrance pillars, there is a road/trail to the right which loops round the soccer fields which is the preferred route.  Nigel will put up directional arrows.

Anyone utilising the restaurant can continue to do so, but must then return to the tar road and not cut across the fields.
